Swimmer of the Year 2006
During 2006 the County instituted a Swimmer of the Year Award to be presented to the swimmer who, in the opinion of the Swimming Committee, has done most to further the sport within the County through elite performance. The first recipient is Rob Bale (Bolton Metro) who was awarded the new trophy following a year of outstsanding performances and not just in the County's own events. Rob is currently studying and training as part of the ASA AASE programme and is also a member of the British Swimming 4 X 200m Freestyle Beijing and London potential squad who train regularly in Loughborough. Rob is pictured receiving his award from President, Chris Carroll, and past ASA President, Mike Glover. Congratulations Rob!
